Today I started a brand new journal dedicated to Happy-Making Things. I think it’s going to be great. So far on my list I have …

• Lighting the fire. Especially if it’s in the morning. Extra especially if there is plenty of wood.

• Putting good stuff out into the world.

• Baking - especially bread.

• Listening to Nick Cave.

• Winter late-afternoon.

• Drinking a cup of tea 4 minutes after I make it.

• Nature-coloured nails.
